How i shoud interprated the results, pass specification or not?<\/span>&#8220;<\/h4>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"js-post-body post-body\" tabindex=\"0\">There were plenty of replies and I replied to an answer with some additional guidance.\u00a0 My reply was this:<\/h4>\n<p class=\"mentions-texteditor__content\">&#8220;<span id=\"ember1405\" class=\"ember-view\">I would add that if <em>B. subtilis<\/em> has been found, what is the risk to the end user, (and also product efficacy).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If you are testing for <em>Salmonella sp<\/em>. then I assume the product is meant for ingestion.\u00a0 Spores can survive cooking and germinate under warm conditions.\u00a0 If the product is meant to be stored in a fridge, assume the end user will keep it on a bench.\u00a0 That could lead to illness, especially in an already ill patient.\u00a0 I recommend quarantining the batch and conducting a full investigation and risk assessment.\u00a0 G M Butcher&#8217;s site contamination concerns are also valid.<\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Question posed on LinkedIn: &#8220;Dear experts, During microbial contamination testing for specific organisms &#8211; salmonella growing was observed. identification shows that is not Salmonella, but Bacillus subtilis.
